Parish Secretary and Director of Communications
Debra is a native Ohioan who moved with her husband to Louisville in 1983. Her first Louisville home was in the Highlands and she and her husband were members of St. Francis of Assisi Parish. Her daughter was baptized at St. Francis. She and her husband later moved to Jeffersontown when their second child was born and now are members of the Church of Epiphany. Debra taught in Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Toledo, Ohio, and the Archdiocese of Louisville for 39 years.
She has a master's degree in education from Bellarmine University, is a Master Catechist, and has worked on a master's degree in religious education at St. Meinrad School of Theology. Before coming to St. Francis, was the Admissions Director and Office Manager at the Kumon Math and Reading Learning Centers of Jeffersontown and Springhurst. She has always felt that working with the church is her ministry and passion and coming to St. Francis feels like coming home!
